Who ever thought it would be so hard to give away concert tickets. I think altogether we must’ve made over 10 phone calls. No catch or strings attached. Maybe they really thought we were b.s.ing them. (We had about 5 unclaimed tix by the time we gave up.)

In any case, ?uestlove made the day for a handful of MIA residents. Lower level seats, just a stone cellphone’s throw away from the stage, and still, a few of us managed to walk up even closer.

Jay got on-stage around midnight for a solid two hours (although the two $12 cupfuls of Heineken might’ve skewed my perception of time), and performed between 10 to 15 songs from all over. He had the crowd going wild.

This is my first time seeing Sean Carter in action and I’m impressed. To say the guy has a solid stage presence is an understatement. He was never overshadowed by his band -which in and of itself was off the chain!!! Word is that ?uestlove is the man behind their training, so I guess that explains quite a bit. Neal Armstrong did a fairly good job as his DJ as well.

Up to one point, I had kept pretty decent track of the songs he was performing, but then he took over Neal Armstrong’s spot and went on a snippet spree. He must’ve ran through 15 different tracks in about 10 minutes. And then the preemptive strike. He finished of with Encore. Literally, as soon as he uttered his last words, he turned around and walked off stage. Just like that. The crowd was dying for more but we were denied.

But I’m not complaining.

fed ex me that late pass, but I’ve noticed that if you pour a brew at that precise point where its consistency is the most dense, right before it begins to freeze, you’ll get a fair amount of head regardless of how carefully you pour it. a weighty type of head.

A gentleman of any age who preys on cougars. This gentleman is very knowledgeable in the ways of the cougar and is an expert at looking like prey while actually being the predator. He often uses this insight to work the cougar while working other ladies or multiple packs of cougars at the same time. This is usually accomplished though intermittent flirting throughout the evening. The cougar hawk is not to be confused with a guy wearing mirrored shades and a Hustler jacket hitting on everything in the room.

The cougar hawk is a gentleman first. A master of etiquette. He will never cock block one of his party for his own gains. He knows cougars hunt in packs when you see one there are many. The best cougar hawks approach a bar like a puzzle or riddle. The size up all prospective action upon entering and allot enough time to each candidate to maximize his efficiency. A cougar hawk is an asset in any band of merry men.

“Careful bud or that cougar is going to maul you.” Don’t you worry boys, I am a wise man when is comes to the ways of the cougar. In 12 hours she will be making me breakfast. Do you all want breakfast? I can have her call some friends?”

“Hey man I don’t know if things are going to work out with these chicks. She just figured out she knows me but cant remember I used to date her sister”. “That’s ok man I’ve been been making eyes at these ladies at the end of the bar and Jay is on his way. Jay is a real cougar hawk I’ve seen him line up three groups of chicks and take two of them with him.
